 Meetings

If I want to start having meetings myself in my local community, how do I get started?
The best way is to get guidance from your Sponsor. There are many places that are affordable where you can meet with your prospects. You can even meet them at a local coffee shop or community center in your area. When you have a large group in your area, you can negotiate rates at a local hotel and split the costs with your team members so that all guests are free.

I would like to work with others in my city and attend meetings – what do I do?
All events (meetings) are posted on the website. You may call Akea Care (akeacare@akealife.com or 919.981.6110 x77) for a local Consultant in your area if you do not have a local point of contact.

 Prosperity Plan

What is the Prosperity Plan?
The Akea Prosperity Plan is Akea’s Binary compensation plan which may be found in the Opportunity section of the website.

What makes the Akea Prosperity Plan a world class compensation plan?
There are many reasons, and once you review the Prosperity Plan you will see the many benefits. This plan was designed to pay often and early, and reward you for developing an organization of others like you. The plan pays infinitely deep and also rewards you for your Preferred Customers.

What do I need to do to qualify for the financial rewards of the Prosperity Plan?
You need to meet the requirements and qualifications of the plan at each title, as well as maintain your Active status. Active means you have 100PV in any given month.

What is the full definition of Active stated in the Prosperity Plan?
Active: A Consultant must maintain at least 50 Personal Volume (PV) monthly to be considered Active. If a Consultant is not active, he/she receives no commissions form his/her downline. 100-PV is required monthly to be Paid-As a Senior Director or higher.

Do I make commissions on my own purchases?
In general, no. If eligible, your Sponsor will receive commissions on your qualified purchases. However, if your PV is greater than 100 in a given month, your excess PV will be applied to your weak leg volume. So, you can potentially earn Team Commissions on your own purchases, provided they create PV in excess of 100.

How do I get paid?
The default commission payout method for commissions and bonuses is by check. Other payout types are via direct payment onto a Company-sponsored debit card, or via direct deposit into Consultants’ bank accounts. Yes, you may request payment by hard-copy check. There is a $100 minimum payout and a $5.00 processing fee for each hard-copy check.

What if I don’t meet the payout minimums?
If commissions due are below the minimums, the balance due will accumulate until the minimum is met.

Will I have to pay taxes on the income I make?
Yes. Independent Consultants will be responsible for any income tax. Akea will issue a 1099.

Why must I give my social security number?
This is for tax purposes. Akea will issue a 1099 for the calendar year earnings once you reach $600 or more.

When are commissions paid?
All commissions and bonuses will be paid weekly. The weekly commission period runs from Monday at 12:01am Eastern time to Sunday at midnight Eastern time. Commissions for period X will be processed the Thursday following the end of the commission period (i.e., 4 days later). Funds will be available as follows:

  • Checks: Checks will be mailed on Thursday via US Postal Service.
